Inspired by the work of Martha Rosler, these collages force viewers to compare their daily lives over the course of the last few months with those of Ukrainians. Comprised entirely of photos from the February 22nd editions of the New York Times and the Philadelphia Inquirer, the collages juxtapose images of the same day in countries at peace versus a country at war. I hope that with these collages viewers currently living in peaceful nations will be able to find renewed gratefulness for that fact and renewed sympathy for those in Ukraine.
